Meet Ms. Bargellini
Hello! I am Christine Bargellini and I am proud to be an educator here at Mott Hall High School since September 2015. I am entering my 21st year of teaching as a special educator. I have taught middle school special education for 7 years, and I am currently teaching high school special education for 14 years. I have co-taught the four major subjects, and for the past four years, I am thrilled to be co-teaching Earth Science and Environmental Science.
Throughout my career, I have faced varied and extensive challenges and triumphs within the classroom, and through it all, it has been quite fulfilling and rewarding. Nothing compares to graduation day, seeing all my students successful and ready to move to the next level of their lives!
On a personal note, I have been married for over 9 years, and have two wonderful sons and a lovely senior feline daughter. Some things I enjoy are practicing meditation, reading, walking, being in nature, and all things Star Trek. As your teacher, I will be interacting and engaging with you regularly throughout the year. I will also be reaching out to parents to form a partnership to ensure your success. Our goal is to have every student pass science class with an 80 or above, and every student taking the regents, pass the regents so that your science graduation requirements are fulfilled. I am personally committed to do everything possible to have you engage with the material, understand the material and be curious about the material so that you can do your best with the work, I’m here to support you and I have tutoring every Tuesday from 2:30 to 3:30 in room 405. It is important that you make the commitment to your success. I invite you to consider that a large part of your commitment should be that you are in class on time everyday and reject distractions such as food, and off-task conversation. This mindset will serve you well throughout your high school career and beyond. After all, when you transition into the world of college, training, and/or work, this mindset will lead to your continued success...practice it here in high school. We will support you!
